Princess Marsi would like to set up a foundation to support art education in Thailand and to help animals in need, since animals have been the inspiration in many of her paintings. With this wish of the Princess in mind, Marsi Foundation was established on 26 March 2009, by Princess Maris’s cousin in cooperation with her close friends.
The Foundation has organized 2 painting exhibitions in Thailand. In 2010, “MARSI” exhibition was organized at Halls of Mirror, Siam Paragon, and the “L’art de Marsi” exhibition in Bangkok in 2013 at the Queen’s Gallery was held to celebrate the auspicious occasion of the 80th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on 12 August 2012. The highlights of the exhibition are H.M. Queen’s private collection of paintings, granted permission to display for the Thai people and other interested visitors.
The “L’art de Marsi” exhibition includes special activities: Seminar on “L’art de Marsi: Fascination, Symbolism and Imagination , and workshop on Paintings Restoration.
Past activities of the Foundation includes publishing a catalogue of her paintings in 3 languages (Thai, English, French), granting Marsi scholarship for university art students initiated in 2011. 19 scholarships were granted for the first year, followed by 33 scholarships per year in 2012 and 2013. The foundation also has plans to organize exhibitions in various art galleries throughout Thailand in future.
